About

Friends of the St Joseph Animal Shelter, Inc. (FOTAS) has successfully categorized our income and expense into program, fundraising and management/general. However, due to our size and the blending among the programs noted in our mission statement, we have not broken down further. Therefore the numbers reflected are in total vs. by program. From our pennies for paws K-12 school programs to newspaper articles, speaking engagements, and media spots, we continue to assist in the education of the public on the importance of spaying and neutering as well as the humane treatment of animals. This has contributed to the reduction in the number of dogs and cats going thru the shelter from 2514 and 1689 respectively in 2007 to 1346 and 1348 respectively in 2018.
