Sheltered Homes of Alexandria (SHA) has group homes, condominiums, and a small apartment complex of 12 units that provide residential services, both for clients receiving mental health treatment and long term residents with behavioral health conditions, substance abuse disorders, and/or developmental or intellectual disabilities.SHA works closely with the City of Alexandria Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) to meet the growing need to find safe and affordable housing for the growing client base.
