The Harrison County Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is a child-focused, facility-based program where forensic interviews of children sexually abused by out-of-home perpetrators, or where there is a cooperative parent/custodian, are conducted; where cross disciplinary representatives meet to discuss and make decisions about investigation, treatment, and resolution of such child sexual abuse cases; and to prevent further victimization of children. The Harrison County CAC is dedicated to providing a comprehensive, culturally competent multidisciplinary team response to allegations of child sexual abuse involving an out-of-home perpetrator, or where there is a cooperative parent/custodian, that is in the child's best interest, all in a child-friendly environment.
