As a member of the WV Coalition to End Homelessness and the National Minority AIDS Council, Caritas House provides case management services to clients residing in 10 counties in North Central WV. Caritas House also provides permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless individuals with disabilities including HIV/AIDS and substance abuse, providing the opportunity for participants to improve quality of life and gain independence. Services also include monthly assistance through food pantry, hygiene supplies, cleaning products, and emergency survival gear. Caritas House staff offer prevention education presentations regarding risks of infection, testing protocol, and the latest in treatment options and HIV or Hep C testing to individuals or groups in the community. As a funded partner of the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Caritas House collaborates with local, state, and federal agencies to identify unmet needs and develop plans to resolve them.
