Mission
The mission of the North Carolina Eye Bank is to procure, process and distribute ocular tissue for the restoration of sight through corneal transplantation and related medical therapy and research. Our reputation has been built through a history of service to donors, recipients, and ophthalmic professionals. We welcome the opportunity to work with corneal surgeons to improve patient care, develop new therapies and serve the medical community in innovative ways.

Clinical services - is responsible for the testing, evaluation and distribution of tissue for transplant and research. They determine if the tissue is suitable for transplant and work with surgeons to meet their patients' needs. They also facilitate providing tissue to researchers working on cures for eye disease such as macular degeneration and glaucoma. The organization is one of the largest providers of sclera for oculoplastic surgery and glaucoma surgery.
