More about this organization
Mission
Child Development Center is a developmental program that helps preschool children move from full-time special education into a traditional classroom setting. As human service professionals, we recognize the intrinsic worth of each child. We accept the set of beliefs, customs, and traditions that each one brings to the Center, and recognize that each child has a unique potential. We recognize that we can serve the child’s best interest by working toward an understanding of ourselves, both personally and professionally. This includes being aware of our beliefs and values, and of the effect these can have on interactions with others. We recognize that a center-based setting can be a valuable family support system wherein the children can expand and enrich their overall development.
