Preservation of Morris Island Lighthouse

About

The sole purpose of Save the Light, Inc is to save the Morris Island Lighthouse, (which is actually owned by the State of SC). This project is expected to take several years primarily due to the necessity of raising sufficient funds. To date, we have spent in excess of $5.7 million on phases one and two. The next phase will not be implemented until sufficient funds are raised. Future expenditures are estimated to be in excess of $3 million. During 2018, there were project expenditures made in the amount of $1,176. In 2018 the Board of Directors was active in fund activities that resulted in raising $ 132 thousand included in Part 1 line 19 on page 1 of the 990.
