Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center ('PAR') is a 360-bed facility located in the city of Athens in Clarke County, Georgia. Over 500 primary care and specialty physicians comprise the medical staff and meet the professional clinical needs of children, adults, and seniors within Athens and the surrounding Northeast Georgia market, regardless of any individual's ability to pay for services. For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019, the hospital had 21,336 patient admissions with a total of 96,730 of in-patient hospitalization. ER visits totaled 85,069 outpatient visits totaled 210,304. Surgical services were provided to 13,246 patients.
