The Bass reopened after its two-year renovation in October 2017 with exhibitions by Swiss artist, Ugo Rondinone (good evening beautiful blue), Cameroonian artist, Pascale Marthine Tayou (Beautiful), and Mika Rottenberg's self-titled exhibition. In spring 2018, the museum opened a second round of exhibitions with Deste Fashion Collection, Laure Provoust: They are waiting for you, and Miami-based artist Karen Rifas, Deceptive Constructions.
