Mission

Providing special needs user groups with clean, safe, barrier-free camping facilities

About

Rotary's Camp Florida is unique in that it provides a camping facility for special needs user groups to conduct year round camps. As each user group of children and adults have their own set of requirements the camp allows them to conduct their own camps, incorporating their own program curriculum. The expenses cover program services, administrative costs which are under 10%, facility maintenance and improvement, program operating costs and overhead. User groups are charged to use the facility at 50% of the daily operating cost and the remainder of the operations expenses are paid by donations from rotary clubs, corporations, and individuals. The camp works with such user groups as muscular dystrophy, diabeties, ms, spina bifida, brain and spinal cord, shriner's, perthes, tourettes and those with varying physical and mental abilities.
