More about this organization

Mission

Houndhaven, Inc. rescues dogs and puppies from euthanasia at kill shelters. We care for them until they can be placed in loving homes or with another rescue group. We believe that these lives are precious, and we are strictly a no kill organization.

Our mission is life.

About

Houndhaven rescues dogs from suffering, surrender and euthanasia by helping them get needed veterinary care. We work with specialty vets in orthopedics, surgery, opthalmology, dermatology and cancer care to identify good pet owners who are faced with an expensive treatment or surgery that they cannot afford for their dog. The specialist agrees to provide a discount, and we pay up to half the cost, leaving the owner with a bill they can afford. Specialty care is expensive, but we believe every dog deserves it. They give us their best, and they deserve for us to give them the best care they can get.
