Mission

Our mission is to encourage and equip the body of Christ to love and serve our Middle Eastern neighbors.

About

In Iraq, SGI offers education and community development projects in the northern part of the country. Primary activities include teaching and implementation of a Christian K-12 curriculum used to serve approximately 2,500 students enrolled in three (3) schools known as the School of the Medes. Staff also serve families in their local Iraqi neighborhoods through after-school programs, church activities and training programs. There is also an ongoing jail ministry to prisoners. In response to the ISIS conflict in N. Iraq, SGI has worked to establish and help support a number of relief programs including a school in Camp Xanke, business entrepreneurial endeavors, along with training for technical jobs, medical, food, shelter and clothing assistance for displaced families.
