The Music Connection:The music connection program provides students with musical instruments and experiences that support the school district's music program. The music connection provides free and low-cost instrument rentals to low income families, enabling students from any economic background the opportunity to participate in their school music program. The music connection provides camps, clinics, and music mentoring experiences for the students, further engaging them in music and performanc. The music connection, a program of the NVEF, has provided quality musical instruments and instruction to students supporting the school music programs in Napa since 1997.Grants to Teachers:Grants of up to $500 are awarded each school year directly to caring, dedicated teachers that intend to provide enrichment materials and supplies, and / or pay for activities that enhance their students educational experience. The grants provide for teachers to put into practice ideas and teaching opportunities they may not otherwise have been able to accomplish.NV Education Exchange:The mission of the Napa Valley Education Exchange is to advance learning in our schools by bringing together educators, students, change agents, thought leaders, and visionaries to exchange innovative ideas and technological resources on an annual basis. The local conference, hosted by the Foundation and the school district, hosts 200 district leaders from across the nation to discuss practical approaches to school transformation.
