Mission
For over 45 years, the Arkansas Sheriffs' Youth Ranches have provided hope and healing for children, who through no fault of their own, need a place to call home. Its mission is to address, remedy and prevent child abuse and neglect by creating safe, healthy and permanent homes for children. When all 75 sheriffs of Arkansas founded the Ranches in 1976, they saw a need for children who were falling through the cracks of society. The Ranches are much more than a warm bed and three meals a day. This transformative foster care organization is a place where boys and girls get a second chance to be a kid and a place where a child can grow into a loving, caring, and responsible young man or woman.
