EDUCATION PROGRAMS: THE ARTISTS IN THE SCHOOLS (AIS) PROGRAM PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH HIGH QUALITY EXPERIENCES IN THE ARTS THAT INSPIRE THEIR CREATIVITY AND CONFIDENCE, FURTHER THEIR ACADEMIC LEARNING, AND FOSTER LIFE-LONG APPRECIATION OF AND PARTICIPATION IN THE ARTS. THROUGH AIS, AHHA CONNECTS PROFESSIONAL TEACHING, PRESENTING, AND PERFORMING ARTISTS IN ALL DISCIPLINES WITH SCHOOLS THROUGH CLASSROOM PRESENTATIONS. AIS SERVES 95 SCHOOLS IN 5 DISTRICTS AND REACHES 45,000 STUDENTS ANNUALLY. FOR ONE WEEK EVERY SUMMER, AS PART OF AIS, TULSA AREA EDUCATORS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CREATIVE CLASSROOM INSTITUTE (CCI) FREE OF CHARGE. THROUGH THIS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, TEACHERS LEARN CREATIVE TEACHING STRATEGIES TO USE IN THEIR CLASSROOMS. ANY GIVEN CHILD-TULSA, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE JOHN F. KENNEDY CENTER, IS A COLLECTIVE IMPACT PROGRAM OF 13 LOCAL ARTS PARTNERS, AND TULSA PUBLIC SCHOOLS THAT BRING ART FOCUSED FIELD TRIPS & CLASSROOM CURRICULUM TO EVERY CHILD IN TULSA PUBLIC SCHOOL GRADES K-8, AS WELL AS TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCES. ANY GIVEN CHILD - TULSA SERVES NEARLY 30,000 STUDENTS.
