About

Oklahoma Children's Services (OCS) Project is a comprehensive, integrated statewide approach to services for families and children impacted by abuse and neglect. Comprehensive home based services and parent aid services are components of the Oklahoma Children's Services Project. CHBS and PAS are provided by Northcare through contracts with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS). Families are referred for services by local OKDHS child welfare staff. CHBS services are intensive, in-home interventions designed to preserve, strengthen and restore the family. CHBS service goals include the prevention of further incidents of child abuse or neglect and family reunification. Case managers provide comprehensive services suited to each family's needs, including: child health care, parent-child bonding, home safety, budgeting assistance and problem solving, crisis management, parent-child visitation and family reunification. CHBS case managers and supervisors are available 24/7 via pager for emergencies or to provide crisis intervention. Northcare's OCS program provides services in 42 of the 77 counties.
