The Arc of Texas promotes, protects, and advocates for the human rights and self-determination of Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
About
The Arc of Texas went into partnership with a household recycling vendor. The partnership provides The Arc of Texas a share of the proceeds for the programs and services of The Arc of Texas. The proceeds are from drop box collections of donated clothing and household items that are sold to an unrelated third party. These proceeds are used to support The Arc of Texas' program activities. The management and board of directors of The Arc of Texas believe the household recycling activity is a program service of the organization. To be consistent with prior years' reporting, the expense are reported as program services on Form 990 and not as a component of fund raising.
