DRUG AND ALCOHOL DEPENDENCE TREATMENT - ALIVIANE, INC. IS A MINORITY-GOVERNED, NONPROFIT COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION THAT BEGAN AS A GRASS ROOTS TREATMENT PROGRAM FOR MALE AND FEMALE HEROIN ADDICTS IN 1970. THE PROGRAM BEGAN BY WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS LABELED AS HARDCORE SUBSTANCE ABUSERS THAT WERE DIFFICULT TO REHABILITATE. OVER THE YEARS, THE AGENCY HAS DEVELOPED INTO EL PASO TEXAS' PREMIER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROVIDER AND IS THE OLDEST AND MOST EXPERIENCED ADDICTION TREATMENT AND PREVENTION SYSTEM IN WEST TEXAS. IN TOTAL, THE AGENCY OPERATES FOURTEEN TREATMENT PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT EIGHT FACILITIES. THE AGENCY OPERATES ONE RESIDENTIAL CENTER FOR MEN AND ONE FOR WOMEN, PREGNANT WOMEN, AND WOMEN WITH CHILDREN, THREE ADULT OUTPATIENT FACILITIES ONE IN EL PASO COUNTY AND ONE EACH IN THE COUNTIES OF BREWSTER AND CULBERSON, ONE OPIOID SUBSTITUTION THERAPY CLINIC, ONE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT CLINIC FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN, AND ONE OUTPATIENT FACILITY FOR YOUTH. ADDITIONALLY, THE AGENCY OPERATES TWO INTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS DIRECTLY LINKED TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT SERVICES IN AN EFFORT TO INCREASE TIMELY ACCESS TO EARLY SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES FOR THE CLIENT AND THEIR FAMILY. ALL FACILITIES ARE CURRENTLY LICENSED AND FUNDED BY THE TEXAS STATE SINGLE AUTHORITY ON SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES, THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES. FURTHERMORE, LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL GRANT PROGRAMS FUND EACH FACILITY. OVERALL, THE AGENCY PROVIDES A BROAD RANGE OF SERVICES WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF A STRONG COMMUNITY SUPPORT NETWORK USING A VARIETY OF THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES AND SETTINGS DESIGNED TO MEET THE INDIVIDUAL NEEDS OF CLIENTS.
