Mission
Austin Wildlife Rescue is a nonprofit organization that takes in injured, orphaned or sick wildlife and once they are ready to go back into the wild they are released in a safe area.
About
Wildlife Rescue operates a triage center for thousands of orphaned, injured, and wounded wildflife brought in by the general public of the Austin metropolitan area each year. Wild animals and birds are evaluated for courses of treatment, stabilized, and often turned over to licensed individuals who continue treatment in their homes. Wildlife Rescue provides advice, medication, and food for the animals and birds until they are released into the wild. Wildlife Rescue rehabilitates apporximately 50% of the animals brought into the center.
