Mission

The Jackson Hole Land Trust (JHLT) is a private, nonprofit that was established in 1980. The Land Trust's mission is to protect and steward the treasured landscapes of Northwest Wyoming. The Land Trust's vision is a legacy of protected open spaces, wildlife habitat, working lands and community spaces across Northwest Wyoming that inspire current and future generations.

About

Protection Department: The JHLT works with landowners to protect land for conservation purposes including open spaces, historic ranching, wildlife habitat and corridors, and scenic corridors. During the year the JHLT protected 758 acres consisting of Chimney Draw, East Broadway, Wapiti Junction, and Willow Lake Pasture properties. To date the JHLT has helped to protect over 56,000 acres in and around Jackson Hole and the Greater Yellowstone Area. The Land Trust also granted $25,000 to a related nonprofit organization for the purposes of purchasing land currently protected by a conservation easement held by JHLT.
