The mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Antonio is to operate charitable facilities, which provide safe temporary living accommodations for critically ill children and their families while receiving medical treatment in the San Antonio, Texas area.

Our three Ronald McDonald Houses in San Antonio, TX and two Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms in Laredo, TX, offer comfortable, affordable lodging and respite rooms for families of seriously ill and injured children. In our homes families are able to give and receive much needed emotional support from families going through similar situations. Our homes, which are open twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year, provided a haven for over 2,000 families. A total of 4,750 individuals stayed with us or used our facilities during the year. This number includes parents, patients and siblings. These families came from throughout the United States, Mexico and across the globe. In 2018 building began on our 4th San Antonio Ronald McDonald House. Finally, during 2018, over 8,000 volunteer hours were contributed to our organization allowing us to provide the special support and care essential to turning our houses into true homes and fulfill our mission.
