By donating on this page you are making an irrevocable contribution to Daffy Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charity, and a subsequent donation recommendation to the charity listed above, subject to our Member Agreement. Contributions are generally eligible for a charitable tax-deduction and a yearly consolidated receipt will be provided by Daffy. Processing fees may be applied and will reduce the value available to send to the end charity. The recipient organizations have not provided permission for this listing and have not reviewed the content.
Donations to organizations are distributed as soon as the donation is approved and the funds are available. In the rare event that Daffy is unable to fulfill the donation request to this charity, you will be notified and given the opportunity to choose another charity. This may occur if the charity is unresponsive or if the charity is no longer in good standing with regulatory authorities.

Mission
Seedling's mission is to mitigate the impact of parental incarceration on children in Central Texas through school based mentoring.
About
The foundation launched its mentor program in February 2006 for children who are affected by the incarceration of one or both of their parents. The foundation recruits volunteers from the community, matches them with eligible children, and offers ongoing support to both children and mentors. The mentors provide stable, long-term relationships for the students and help them develop and maintain positive attitudes towards school. During the 2018/2019 school year, Seedling served 653 students in K-12. 63% of these children were in elementary school, 29% were in middle school, and 8% were in high school. 19% African American, 67% Hispanic, 4% Caucasian, and 8% two or more races. 52% of mentees were male and 48% of mentees were female. Seedling had children in 9 school districts, and 122 schools.
