CAMP ARANZAZU (PRONOUNCED AH RAN' ZAH ZOO) IS LOCATED IN ROCKPORT TEXAS ON 104 ACRES ON COPANO BAY AND FEATURES 27 ACRES OF WATERFRONT AND WETLANDS. THE CAMP IS OPENED YEAR ROUND WITH 135 BEDS AND THE FACILITY IS BARRIER FREE. WE SERVE AS A HOST FACILITY FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS - SOME WITH CANCER, DIABETES, MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY, EPILEPSY, ASTHMA, AUTISM, DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS, OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF SPECIAL CHALLENGE. WE OFFER A ROPES CHALLENGE COURSE, KAYAKING/CANOEING, PADDLE BOARDING, ARCHERY, SWIMMING, ARTS, NATURE, SAILING, DRAMA AND GAMES. CAMP ARANZAZU IS ACCREDITED BY THE AMERICAN CAMP ASSOCIATION AND STATE OF TEXAS. ON AUGUST 25, 2017, WE WERE DIRECTLY HIT BY HURRICANE HARVEY. WE RECEIVED GENEROUS DONATIONS AND SOME INSURANCE PROCEEDS AND REOPENED BY MAY 2018.
