Islamic Services Foundation (ISF) is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization established and registered in the State of Texas since 1989. In 1988, a group of dedicated Muslim parents founded the ISF in the Dallas metropolitan area for the purpose of establishing an educational institution conducive to an Islamic learning environment. The initial plan was to start with kindergarten and first grade levels and to add one higher grade level every year. Today Brighter Horizons Academy (BHA) is the first full-time Accredited Islamic college preparatory academy in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. It is also the largest in Texas and the southern United States. Since its inception, the Academy has grown from 10 students in 1989 to over 800 today, ranging from PK to 12th grade. Some of the key goals for ISF are: - Offer education conducive to an Islamic learning environment. - Initiate and guide an integrated Islamic personality and help Muslims in North Texas learn and practice Islam. - Establish and maintain Islamic educational institutions. - Promote and conduct business related, moral, intellectual, social and cultural programs. - Offer the Muslim business communities Islamic business-type ideas that mobilize and coordinate the community’s human and material resources. - Promote friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims. - Endeavor to make Islamic teachings known to interested non-Muslims.
