The cooperative was formed to provide on a centralized basis, purchasing services for a group of tax-exempt hospitals. The services are provided on a cooperative basis, with all net earnings allocated or paid to the hospitals on the basis of services performed for them within 8 1/2 month after the close of the taxable year.
