The Urban Harvest Youth Education Program turns school gardens into outdoors classrooms, reaching 9,600 students through weekly hands-on lessons and by training educators at the annual Edible Academy Workshop. School gardens effectively enhance students' education through experiential learning, wherein children learn about the origins of their food, ecology, and teamwork through hands-on activities.
