The Community Food Bank of San Benito County's direct service programs include food distribution and community partnerships. The food distribution program is comprised of: marketplace, brown bag delivery, emergency food assistance program (EFAP), and backpack food program. The community partnerships consist of: partnerships with local organizations to promote a healthy community. Partners include local grocers, growers, and packers for food, leading corporations, service organizations from scout groups to motorcycle clubs and other non-profits helping folks with essential needs in life. Community Food Bank serves 4,000 individuals per month through the food distribution programs, an additional 600 per month through the agency partnerships and an additional 500 children per week though the kids backpack program. Approximately 16% of food bank customers are seniors and 48% are children.
