Mission
The Brooklyn Waldorf School provides an education that meets the needs of each student in a developmentally appropriate manner, integrating critical thinking, emotional intelligence and the arts through the curriculum founded by Rudolf Steiner.
About
The Brooklyn Waldorf School is an independent school that adapts the traditional methods of Rudolf Steiner to the unique, urban environment of Brooklyn, New York.
While maintaining the regular business of the school, including parent child programs and school programs serving children in nursery through grade 8, the school broadens its diversity, equity, and inclusion. We hosted and attended undoing racism workshops followed up by study groups, we hosted and attended border crossers' workshops for faculty. We began a deep dive into a review and revision of our curriculum regarding facilities. We began a 14 month project in partnership with our leasor to repair our roof and facade.
