Joyce Preschool is a bilingual, multicultural preschool in Minneapolis providing scholarships to 50% of families each year. Our innovative, research-based approach to early childhood education is proven successful: 100% of our graduates the last five years were assessed as kindergarten-ready, compared to 36% readiness rates for Spanish-speaking students in Minneapolis and 72% overall (Minneapolis Public Schools, 2012). Parents often use the words 'home' and 'family' when describing their experience at Joyce — our focus on the child's wellbeing and social-emotional health, culturally-inclusive atmosphere, and parent support systems create a safe, welcoming place for parents to engage with teachers, ask questions about their child's development, and be connected to resources.
