About

In 2018, CFACC recruited and trained 30 new CASA volunteers and 27 new attorney gals. CFACC administered 2 pre-service trainings and 12 in-service trainings, in addition to four quarterly case discussion groups. In 2018, casas advocated for 208 abused and neglected children and gals were assigned to 9,701 cases. CASA volunteers provided CFACC with 4,539 volunteer hours and drove 27,970 miles advocating for children. CFACC, in partnership with local universities, completed evidence-based research and evaluation of CFACC's processes indicating improved outcomes with the CASA/GAL partnership model. At year-end, CFACC had 79 CASA volunteers and 123 attorney gals available to serve and advocate for children in cases of abuse, neglect, and/or dependency. CFACC has completed and will continue to implement a formal strategic plan covering the areas of program growth and development, quality assurance, court reform, revenue generation, digital and traditional media presence, and cultural competency.
