OUR MISSION AT THE NEST SCHOOL IS TO SUPPORT EACH INDIVIDUAL CHILD IN BUILDING A FOUNDATION FOR LIFE LONG LEARNING. WE PROVIDE A MONTESSORI PROGRAM WHICH SUPPORTS THE EMOTIONAL, INTELLECTUAL, PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE WHOLE CHILD BY ADDRESSING THE UNIQUENESS OF EACH CHILD IN A NURTURING, EMOTIONALLY SECURE AND ACADEMICALLY EXCELLENT ENVIRONMENT.

THE NEST SCHOOL IS A LICENSED FAMILY CHILD CARE HOME THAT SERVED 21 CHILDREN (6 FULL DAY STUDENTS AND 15 HALF DAY) AND 19 FAMILIES DURING THE 2018-2019 YEAR. WE ARE A NONPROFIT MONTESSORI EARLY CHILDCARE PROGRAM WITH A SINGLE MIXED AGED CLASSROOM, 2 FULL TIME TEACHERS, AND 4 EXTRACURRICULAR TEACHERS WHO PROVIDE WEEKLY ENRICHMENT CLASSES IN ART, MUSIC, YOGA, AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION.THE SCHOOL OFFERS A UNIQUE MONTESSORI PROGRAM THAT IS SCARCE AND IN HIGH DEMAND IN OUR WEST LOS ANGELES GEOGRAPHIC AREA. THE FOCUS OF OUR PHILOSOPHY IS THREE FOLD: BUILDING AUTONOMY, CULTIVATING A LOVE OF LEARNING, AND FOLLOWING THE CHILD.
