About
Project Corazon (Immigrants' Rights): Built a coalition of more than 50 large law firms, NGOs, and legal services organizations to help reunite separated families and fight for the rights of families impacted by inhumane immigration policies. Provided remote legal representation to more than 650 detained asylum-seekers during their credible fear interviews. Researched and drafted more than 100 legal briefs in support of asylum-seekers. Launched the Project Corazon travel fund to send pro bono attorneys to detention centers to provide much-needed legal support to detained asylum-seekers. Provided support and capacity-building services to legal services organizations focused on immigrants' rights. In 2018, through Project Corazon, the Lawyers for Good Government Foundation recruited and coordinated more than 1,500,000 in pro bono legal services and provided services to more than 1,000 asylum-seeking families.
