About

To enhance the quality of life in Erie's West Bayfront by beautifying neighborhoods and instilling neighborhood pride. OWB completed a variety of neighborhood stabilization and improvement projects in targeted blocks within West Bayfront neighborhoods. Through programs such as the Gridley Park Renaissance Program, which incentivizes property owners adjacent to the West Bayfront's central park to make improvements and repairs, OWB spent $159,012 to assist 38 property owners. OWB worked with the city of Erie to begin improvements to Bayview Park, including installation of a new 'splash' pad for children. OWB constructed a pocket park on a lot that had previously been occupied by a blighted building, and worked with partners to organize eight free community events that attracted over 2,000 participants.
