The collaborative distributes donations of imperfect and surplus produce that can be accessed by our nation's food banks and the hungry families they serve. To do this, we obtain donated produce from various growers and/or distributors over a wide geographic area for only a fee ('pick & pack out fee') that covers the cost of the supplies (boxes, bins, pallets) and incremental packing/harvest costs, enabling the food banks to transport and distribute the produce to feed the hungry. We distribute the donated produce to approximately 24 food banks at the current time.
