To hold out hope and to empower low-income and high-risk elementary and middle school kids through one-to-one tutoring, positive mentoring relationships, and spiritual nurture.
About
Whiz Kids Tutoring recruits, trains and supervises volunteers to provide tutoring, mentoring and spiritual nurture to low-income elementary and middle school children who are at-risk of failing out of school. Working in partnership with eight metro Denver school districts, Whiz Kids provides over 800 tutors to work with more than 800 youth. Its executive director has enhanced, expanded and promoted the program, meeting with individuals and key leaders in the business and foundation arenas, churches and schools. Whiz Kids also has 8 part-time field directors who provide oversight to its 54 sites, and are also responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers.
