About

Animas River We hired a full-time employee this year dedicated to the health of the Animas River in response to the 2015 Gold King mine spill which severely polluted the Animas River impacting several communities downstream along the river. The primary focus of the Animas River program is to educate and mobilize river users and advocate around the threats to the river's water quality in order to reinvigorate community advocacy for mine cleanup and water health for the Animas River Watershed.
