Mission
Provide critically needed advocacy and legal representation to residents 60 years of age and older in order to uphold their rights, maximize their autonomy, and ensure that they receive the benefits to which they are entitled.
About
For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019, SCLO provided legal services to 2,060 seniors aged 60 and older in central New Mexico. SCLO's legal services include: document review and drafting; counsel and advice; negotiation; and full representation (before courts and administrative agencies). We also conducted legal clinics and presentations to approximately 1,237 seniors at senior centers, community centers, and meal sites throughout central New Mexico and widely disseminated brochures and other materials on elder law issues through our website at www.sclonm.org. SCLO served a total of 3,297 seniors in total.
