YSFS partners with families to find positive, non-institutional solutions, and builds on existing strengths within a framework of dignity, mutual respect, and personal responsibility. YSFS provides safety, support, and access to community resources, during periods of stress.
About
The youth emergency shelter is a 24-hour safe haven for youth in crisis, ages 10-17, where they can sleep in a stable environment, eat three nutritious meals a day, obtain clothing, receive counseling and support, and access a full range of services. The shelter served 144 youth, provided 2,303 nights of shelter, and provided 3,585 case management and life skills education hours.
