Mission

Originally founded in Bisbee by concerned community members as a means to provide educational opportunities to children with developmental disabilities, the program grew, serving both adults and children with disabilities through educational and vocational programs, becoming the Cochise County Association for the Handicapped in 1975. In 1995 CCAH won the groundskeeping contract for Fort Huachuca and was later renamed. Today, Premier Alliances continues to provide gainful employment and life skills development for a historically underserved population at our operations on the Fort Huachuca Army Installation, at the Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station near Bisbee, where our employees provide custodial services, and at the Print & Stitch custom printing and embroidery shop in Bisbee.

Premier Alliances, Inc. made had several accomplishments during the 2018Fiscal Year that coincided with our mission of Improving the Lives ofPeople with Disabilities.To begin, over the course of the 2018 Fiscal Year, Premier Alliancesemployed 157 individuals with disabilities, paying out $1,118,436.70 inwages and benefits, helping these individuals achieve a level of financialindependence that impacts the rest of their lives.Additionally, Premier Alliances engaged in several instances ofphilanthropic and sponsorship efforts throughout the Fiscal Year that alsoreflected the organization's purpose. They include:In July 2017, Premier Alliances hosted a free tennis camp for children withdisabilities in Sierra Vista. Premier Alliances paid for supplies such astennis balls, water, and snacks, and also worked with the City of SierraVista to reserve a court for the camp.In July 2017, Premier Alliances donated $1,000 to sponsor the ThunderboltYouth Triathlon in Sierra Vista, in exchange for increased promotion of theevent specifically to young athletes with disabilities. In the nextiteration of the event, the Firebolt Triathlon in April 2018, PremierAlliances covered the registration costs of all young athletes withdisabilities, totaling $326.In September and October of 2017, Premier Alliances donated a combined$6,000 to Step Up Bisbee/Naco for much needed repairs to the homes ofresidents with disabilities in the Bisbee and Naco communities. Anotherdonation of $3,200 was made in February 2018 for emergency repairs toadditional homes.In January 2018, Premier Alliances made a donation to the Sierra VistaUnified School District in the amount of $8,171, which was used to purchaseteaching materials for the special education classrooms in each of thedistrict's eight schools.In March 2018, Premier Alliances purchased about $1,000 worth of customt-shirts for several Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca schoolchildren for theTrack and Fun event, featuring several individual and team track and fieldevents for special education students.In June 2018, Premier Alliances joined the City of Sierra Vista and theLegacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona to purchase and install inclusiveplayground equipment at Veterans Memorial Park in Sierra Vista. The projectwas funded by a $50,000 grant from the Legacy Foundation, as well as justover $13,000 in funds from Premier Alliances.Also in June 2018, Premier Alliances donated $2,000 to the Willcox Historic Theater in support of its inclusive programming, such as special screenings for children with autism.Combined, these accomplishments, projects, and services benefited severalhundred people, not including the countless number of children who haveutilized the inclusive playground equipment at Veterans Memorial Park sinceits installation.
