About this organization
Mission
As educators our mission is to create lifelong learners. We teach our children how to learn, empower our families to be fierce advocates, and support community members to become the certified professionals that the community needs. Through high quality training, hands-on support and a people-first focus, we are creating a sustainable foundation for future generations within the special education community.
About
The Inspired Community Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing no-cost early intervention services to neurodiverse children, advocacy coaching for their families, and specialized career training and certification support for those in the community. We have created a self-sustaining, hyper-local, special education resources system, of the community for the community. The Bronx has the highest early intervention referral rate in the state, but the lowest participation due to a lack of professionals in the borough. We are using a hospital training model to not only provide the services so desperately needed, but training and creating the professionals of, and from, the community.
