Inspired by the Jewish principle of “Tikkun Olam,” repairing the world one life at a time, JFSA was founded in 1977 to provide comprehensive social support to people in need. Jewish Family Service Agency provides professional social services to families and individuals in times of need. Our services are offered to individuals of all religions, races, ages, disabilities, sexual orientations, and national origins.

JFSA PROVIDES A COMPREHENSIVE ARRAY OF SERVICES FOR OLDER ADULTS, WITH THE GOAL OF HELPING THEM REMAIN HEALTHY, ACTIVE AND INDEPENDENT IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITIES. ALL OF OUR COMMUNITY-BASED CARE SERVICES ARE DESIGNED TO ENABLE SENIORS TO LIVE IN THE LEAST RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT POSSIBLE. PROGRAMS INCLUDE ESSENTIAL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, HOME DELIVERED GROCERIES, CARE MANAGEMENT, IN-HOME ASSESSMENTS, ADVOCACY AND COORDINATION OF SOCIAL SERVICES WITH COMMUNITY AGENCIES. FURTHER, WE ASSIST OUR HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR SENIORS WITH ASSISTANCE WITH REPARATIONS AND CLAIM FORMS, CRISIS INTERVENTION, DENTAL AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE, FOOD, TRANSPORTATION, AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO LOW INCOME SURVIVORS. SURVIVORS RECEIVE HOMECARE SERVICES ON A WEEKLY BASIS AND OR HOME CLEANING SERVICES. IN 2018 OUR SENIOR SERVICE DEPARTMENT ADDED A NEW VOLUNTEER PROGRAM IN COORDINATION WITH THE CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE WHICH CHANGED OUR SENIOR SERVICE PROGRAM TO CONNECT SENIORS IN OUR COMMUNITY TO VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES IN A PEER TO PEER SITUATIONS OR IN COORDINATION WITH THE CLARK COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND PROVIDE IN CLASSROOM SUPPORT. THE IMPACT OF THIS NEW PROGRAM WILL BE SEEN IN 2019.
