About

Helping formerly incarcerated men and women transition to lives of success and fulfillment. Approximately 2046 participants served. Our client base has a high rate of mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Many people are released with no where to go or family to help. Housing and health are our clients most pressing needs. In FY 2019 SCC expanded its ability to provide housing and supportive services. We also introduced an onsite mental health program. With the help of care managers, clients develop three specific life goals at intake, which are then supported by ongoing mentoring and access to basic needs including food, clothing, health care and transportation. SCC delivers hope with in-prison programming before clients are released, and then offers a welcoming community where staff and peers are dedicated to effective reintegration. A commitment to supporting fundamental change in the life of each client is at the heart of SCCS success.
