Founded in 1892, Wellspring is a multi-service nonprofit agency serving low-income and vulnerable families, individuals, and children in the Puget Sound area, most of whom are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. Our mission is to end the cycle of family homelessness. We envision a world in which every child has a safe and stable home. We offer a range of services aimed at addressing the root causes of family instability and crisis such as homelessness. We focus on mitigating the traumatic effects that adverse childhood experiences have on families and the generational cycles of homelessness they create. Our work has a two-generation approach—strengthening adults while also strengthening children—so families can overcome crises to find housing and lasting stability.
