Riverview Care Center provides skilled nursing services to individuals inside the Riverview community as well as to those in the greater Spokane area. A wide range of services are provided from short-term rehabilitation to end-of-life care. The facility has 75 licensed beds and a well-outfitted therapy gym. Professional therapy staff offer speech, vocational, aquatic, occupational and physical therapy services every day of the week. In last quarter of 2019 two wings were taken off-line for remodeling. Twice in 2019, Gonzaga University sent 10-12 students from their nursing program to Riverview Terrace and Riverview Care Center for their clinical practicum. Each group was on campus 1 day per week for 6 weeks. Eastern Washington University sent 6 students in their healthcare administration program to shadow President & CEO, Charles Tirrell. Twice in 2019, Charles taught a healthcare administration course to 35 Eastern Washington University students. Riverview also conducted college-level internship programs in 2019 in the areas of recreational, physical, speech, occupational and physical therapy.
