About
In 1997 what was then Summit Ridge Christian Fellowship opened its doors, renting a Seventh Day Adventist building for Sunday services. SRCF continued to rent and serve the South Hill community for the first 15 years. In 2012, the faithful prayers and dreams of the SRCF staff and congregation were brought to life in a tangible way when we purchased and renovated what is now our South Hill Campus, a 7-Acre property in the heart of Spokane’s South Hill. Summit Finally had a permanent home for the first time in its history. With a vision to reach our community with the gospel of Jesus, Summit Church quickly experienced a movement of God’s grace on our church as we quickly outgrew our new facility, expanded and added additional services to meet the needs of our community. The growth was incredible, God’s favor on our Church was amazing but we felt like God wasn’t done partnering with Summit to impact our City. We took a unique step towards what is our vision today, to be a church that is “In the City, For the City.” We committed to partnering with other non-profits in our city who were working for the causes of justice and mercy. Today Summit has 12 regular community partners we support financially and serve with regularly. In 2018, Summit took another step of faith, launching our first campus located in Spokane’s U-District neighborhood. For the first 5 years this campus was primarily a Sunday morning church service. In 2023, Summit hired our first Campus Pastor to lead and care for those who call Summit U-District home and the surrounding community. Just like you and I, Summit’s story is still being written. We have a 10 years (through 2034) vision to be a spirit led family of Five churches pursuing the flourishing of Spokane through multiplicative movements of disciple making, that are missionally focussed through individual lives and radically local community partnerships.
