About

In 2018, Web of Life Field (WOLF) School provided quality outdoor environmental education, science, California history and teambuilding school programs to 3,884 of California's K-12th grade students, as well as 696 teachers and chaperones, from 79 schools. WOLF also served 285 summer and winter day campers/youth Counselors In Training, 17 resident and 6 backpack campers, and 47 adult and 47 youth family campers. This means we served a total of 4,239 children and 743 adults in 2018. Highlights of 2018 included: Developing and delivering new summer camp programs for local Santa Cruz area families. For the first time we offered summer nature day camp for 3 weeks at Monte Toyon Fellers Campground. Summer campers participated in nature and recreation-based activities based out of Fellers Campground, hiked to Sequel Creek located in The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park, and enjoyed time at Seacliff State Beach. WOLF School also delivered its first ever backpacking camp that had 6 participants hike over 25 miles from Little Basin Cabins and Campgrounds to Waddell Creek State Beach. Continuing with its partnership with Rocketship Bay Area Elementary Charter Schools, WOLF continued to provide environmental education to their 4th and 6th grade students. The launch of a new website has allowed WOLF School to reach more schools interested in bringing their students to camp. The website is more user friendly, and shares the WOLF School mission clearly. In an effort to increase its Scholarship Program, WOLF School partnered with a small t-shirt company business called EVERYWHERE that makes 100% recycled clothing. WOLF School has been selling t-shirts and hats in an effort to not only support their mission, but also bring underserved students to camp.
