Mission
The mission of the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County is to protect, care for, and connect people to the extraordinary lands that make this area special.
About
Stewardship: The organization actively stewards its conservation properties. The organization prepares a management plan for all of its fee title lands and a baseline document report for all of its conservation easements. These documents guide its annual work plans in support of the conservation values of the lands. The trust holds 3,141 acres of conservation land in fee title and 41 conservation easements. For fee title properties the trust provides habitat protection and restoration, including species monitoring, grazing, forest management, public access and recreation, research and education. For the conservation easements the trust monitors the values of the easement and protects against violations of the easement.
