THE NON-PROFIT HOUSING ASSOCIATION OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA IS THE COLLECTIVE VOICE OF THOSE WHO SUPPORT, BUILD AND FINANCE AFFORDABLE HOUSING. IN 2018, NPH CONTINUED TO PURSUE BOLD SOLUTIONS TO CREATE EQUITABLE COMMUNITIES AND ADDRESS THE HOUSING CRISIS. WE SECURED NEW INVESTMENTS WITH OUR WORK TO GALVANIZE COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR SUCCESSFUL PASSAGE OF SIGNIFICANT NEW RESOURCES FOR OUR INDUSTRY - INCLUDING TWO STATEWIDE AFFORDABLE HOUSING REVENUE MEASURES THAT SECURED $6 BILLION OF NEW INVESTMENTS FOR CALIFORNIANS, AND SEVERAL BAY AREA LOCAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING REVENUE MEASURES.NPH ALSO CONTINUED TO GROW OUR ANNUAL FALL CONFERENCE WITH CLOSE TO 1000 ATTENDEES IN 2018, OUR LARGEST CONFERENCE EVER. THIS IS A PART OF NPH'S CORE WORK TO BUILD THE CAPACITY OF OUR MEMBERS WHICH INCLUDES:* FACILITATING CONNECTIONS AND COLLABORATION THROUGH OUR WORKING GROUPS, COALITION PARTNERSHIPS, MEMBER EVENTS, AND LEADERSHIP AWARDS. * OFFERING EDUCATION AND EXPERTISE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, INCLUDING OUR EVER-GROWING ANNUAL CONFERENCE, EMERGING LEADERS PEER NETWORK, AND BROWN BAG TRAINING SERIES. * ADVANCING OUR MESSAGE, DEEPENING MEDIA RELATIONS TO TELL OUR COMMUNITY'S STORIES AND SUPPORTING OUR STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS COUNCIL'S ALIGNED MESSAGING, OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES, AND CAPACITY. NPH ALSO ADVANCED OUR POLICY GOALS THROUGH SHAPING LEGISLATION, CO- LEADING REGIONAL INITIATIVES, AND BUILDING SUPPORT, AND SECURING WINS AROUND THE BAY AREA AND BEYOND, INCLUDING DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPREHENSIVE REGIONAL APPROACH TO ADDRESS THE BAY AREA'S HOUSING CRISIS, WHICH RESULTED IN THE CASA COMPACT, A PACKAGE OF PROPOSALS THAT REFLECT OUR COMMUNITIES' NEEDS, OUR INDUSTRY'S ABILITIES, AND OUR BAY AREA'S POTENTIAL, THAT IS BASED ON THE "THREE PS" FRAMEWORK OF PRODUCTION, PRESERVATION AND TENANT PROTECTIONS.
