The Sierra 2 Center for the Arts and Community is a charming, Andalusian/Spanish Revival style stucco building built in 1923 as an elementary school. This historic site was saved from demolition by the Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association (SCNA) in 1979. It now is a non-profit center for artistic, cultural and educational activities. The 24th St. Theatre and a variety of scenic meeting rooms are available to the public for rental on a daily and monthly basis. Sierra 2 has become a vibrant hub for Curtis Park and the greater Sacramento area.
