The Men of Valor Academy provides a variety of services for 100 to 125 men each year. The activity objective is to provide the men with transformative life skills training, GED/educational enhancement, vocational training, workforce development and job placements. Many of the men who complete the training will secure some type of employment. The majority of men are homeless and consist primarily of high-risk adult male parolees, probationers, and men mandated by the collaborative court services. Many of the men suffer from some health issues, substance abuse, and cognitive challenges. In 2017, the Men of Valor Academy made significant client occupancy growth and increased their job readiness infrastructure. MOVA served approximately 100 probation clients for 2017.
